Bill and Nettie Barton were honored with a garden party to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. They were united in marriage on Aug. 24, 1959, in Gainesville, Texas.
The event took place at the home of Kody and Jessica Spangler who were joined as hosts by Cheryl Barton, Jeff Barton, Nick and Rachel Bartgis and Amanda Ashworth.
A movie was presented showing photographs of their 50 years together.
Bill served in the U.S. Army and retired from Ardmore Drilling Company. Nettie retired from Merle Norman Cosmetics.
They have lived in Ardmore all their married life and attend the Maxwell Avenue Church of Christ.
They have two children, three granddaughters and six great-grandchidren.
