Mr. and Mrs. Ott Ladner will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 29, 2009.
Ott Ladner of Jimtown and Laquitta Holt of Greenville were married on Aug. 28, 1959, at the First Methodist Church in Marietta.
Ott graduated from Leon High School in 1952 and farmed in the Jimtown area. He also served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. Laquitta graduated from Greenville High School in 1959.
The couple have lived in Jimtown since their marriage, where Ott continues to farm and ranch. In addition to helping on the farm, Laquitta has worked as a substitute at the Turner and Marietta schools. They attend the First United Methodist Church in Marietta.
Their children are Rhidonah Ladner-Neal, Monroe, Wash.; and Brian Ladner, Jimtown. They have three grandchildren.
A celebration is planned at the Red River Ranch in Burneyville from 2 to 6 p.m. on Saturday. All friends and relatives are invited.
The honorees request no gifts.
