Morse

Mr. and Mrs. W.F. Morse, Madill, celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary on June 29, 2008. Morse and Mary Biggs were married on that date in 1940 in Alysworth.

Willis worked in the oil field as a welder, cement man, etc., for more than 10 years with Samedan Oil Co.

He served aboard the USS Massachusetts battleship during World War II during which time he lost all hearing. Some of it has been restored with a cochlear implant, which he received on June 23, 2008, in Oklahoma City.

Mary worked for Kellwood in Pauls Valley and is a housewife. Both are retired.

They have three children, George, Virginia and Imogene. There are seven grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
