Longest

Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Longest will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on June 14, 2009, with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Ringling Church of Christ.

Longest and Brenda Ladd were married on June 12, 1959, in the Colbert First Baptist Church by J.B. Lovelace.

The couple lived in Durant for a year and the remainder of their time in the Ringling-Courtney area. Kenneth has taught school in Zaneis, Ringling and Wilson and Brenda was a school teacher in Ringling.

The couple have four children, Donny and Karen, Shawnee; Robin and Vernonda, Ringling; Kim and Stacey, Duncan and Kenda and James Capps, Atoka. They have 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

The children are hosts of the reception.

The honorees request no gifts.
