Mr. and Mrs. James Blakley celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Jan. 22, 2010. James and Barbara were united in marriage on Jan. 22, 1960, in Marietta.
They met and lived in the Jimtown/Marietta area before moving to Wilson, where they made their home.
James has been employed with Wilson Auto Supply for 45 years and Barbara retired from Uniroyal after 20 years of service.
They have three daughters, Marleen Adams and husband, David; Michele Weatherford and husband, Dusty; and Melissa Williams. They have six grandchildren.
