Hunt

Mr. and Mrs. George Hunt celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on July 11, 2008, with a private family gathering in Denton, Texas.

The couple were married on that date in 1959 in Ardmore. They took an Alaskan cruise in June to celebrate the anniversary.

George grew up in Ardmore, the son of Herman and Alice Hunt, who owned Hunt’s Grocery for years. He retired from Uniroyal tire plant in Ardmore.

Toni was born in Hot Springs, Ark., and graduated from Healdton High School. She retired from the Oklahoma Veterans Center in Ardmore, where she was an LPN.

They are the parents of Shannon Dixon, Ardmore; Valorie Millinger, Norman; and the late Kevin Hunt. They have one grandson.
