Mr. and Mrs. John E. Meine, Ardmore, celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on June 27, 2009.
They were married on that date in 1969 in the Wilson First Baptist Church.
After being married, they moved back to Ardmore and have lived in the area ever since.
They are members of Southwest Baptist Church. Johnny worked as a contractor locally for many years.
He accepted a position as the custodian of Springdale School for 12 years, then completed his career as a contractor until retirement.
John and MoRene have four children, Earl Ray McCourt, Robert McCourt, Cheryl Henshaw and Linda Martin. They have nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
