Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie Cox of Springer celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends at the home of Bill and Carol Mitchell. They were married on Aug. 25, 1959 at First United Methodist Church in Wilson.

Bill and Nettie Barton were honored with a garden party to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. They were united in marriage on Aug. 24, 1959, in Gainesville, Texas.

Bill and Barbara Parker of Ardmore celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary earlier this month with their family at their favorite vacation destination — Bella Vista, Ark. — just 30 miles away from Eureka Springs, where they honeymooned back in 1959.

John and Mary Sue Butler will celebrate their 50th anniversary with a trip to Branson, Mo., with their children and grandson.

Mr. and Mrs. James Wright, Ardmore, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 10, 2009 with a reception held in their honor at the home of their son, Jimmy. They were married on that date in 1959 in Gainesville, Texas.

Mr. and Mrs. Apolonio “Paul” Figueroa, of Wilson, will celebrate their 55th wedding anniversary on Sept. 5, 2009. Paul and Antonia “Toni” were married on that date in 1954 in Bakersfield, Calif.
Paul is a retired truck driver with Presidents Bakery.

Mr. and Mrs. Ott Ladner will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 29, 2009.

Mr. and Mrs. Charles McAnally celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 15, 2009. Charles and Elouise were married on that date in 1959 in Lubbock, Texas. After marrying, they moved back to Greenville and have lived in the Marietta area ever since.
