Born Feb. 28, 1949, to Luther and Anna Sewell Wilkins in Ardmore, he died May 27, 2008, in Temple, Texas. He married Carol Greene on July 2, 1993, in Mannsville. He was preceded in death by his father, Luther Wilkins; and a brother, Gary Wilkins.


Jimmy was a maintenance supervisor for the Chickasaw Nation, a member of the Elks Lodge and a past member of the Moose Lodge. He had been a home builder and general contractor and enjoyed playing golf. He was a lifelong Ardmore resident.


Survivors include his wife, Carol, of the home; a daughter, Melissa Henderson, Irving, Texas; a step-son, Jack McDaniel, Stonewall; a step-daughter, Leslie England, Oceanside, Calif.; his mother, Anna Wilkins, Ardmore; eight grandchildren, Austin Henderson, Blues Henderson, Khristopher England, Kaitlyn England, Kolton England, Kaleb England, Kody McDaniel and Jacie McDaniel; a brother, Roger Wilkins, Ardmore; four sisters, Mamie Shockley, Ardmore, Pat Greenwood, Moore, Joyce Bruce, Ardmore, and Maxine Stevens, McClairy, Wash.


Bearers are Lonnie Sears, Jody Anthony, David Gunsolus, Mike Barrick, Jacob England and Austin Henderson.


Honorary bearers are Joe Carroll, Jerry Wilson, Keith McGahey, Dean Copeland and all nieces and nephews.


A time of visitation and support is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home.
