Services for Linda Lee Dodd, 85, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, May 31, 2008, in the Centennial Chapel of Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert D. Lee officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.


Born Nov. 8, 1922, in Haywood to James S. and Loudella Warren Rogers, she died May 25, 2008, in Dallas. She married John Dodd Feb. 21, 1947 in Bowling Green, Ohio. He preceded her in death.


She was also preceded in death by a son, Richard Lemons; her parents; a sister, Ruby Longino, and a great-grandson, Jesse Bartel.


Linda and John returned to Ardmore in 1974. They were the owner-operators of restaurants in Ardmore including Eden’s, Crossroads and The Corral.


She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 329, in El Cajon, Calif. and a member of First Orthodox Baptist Church in Ardmore.


Survivors include her husband, Joe Spoon; a daughter-in-law, Pam Lemons; four granddaughters and their husbands; seven great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; a goddaughter; and a nephew.


Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or charity of choice.
A time of visitation and support is set for 6-7 p.m. today.
