  • Services for Ronald Wade Skinner, 45, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 12, 2008, in the Harvey-Douglas Centennial Chapel with the Rev. Robert D. Lee officiating. Interment will follow in the Condon Grove Cemetery.
    Born Jan. 9, 1963, in Blytheville, Ark., to Charles Gene and Evelyn Neely Skinner, he died Saturday, July 5, 2008. He was preceded in death by his mother, on June 3, 2007; his grandparents, Beulah and O.O. Neely, and Charles and Erbie Skinner; and a niece, Kacie Renee Hicks.
    He graduated from Ardmore High School and attended Memphis State, Oklahoma University and Oklahoma State University. He was hired by Sherwin Williams, in February 1984, as an inside sales associate. Throughout his 24-year career, he held varying levels of positions and received several awards in recognition of his outstanding sales and profit performances.
    In August 1985, he was promoted to Assistant Store Manager in Ardmore. He also held the position of Operations Manager in Denton, Texas, before being promoted to Store Manager in Irving, Texas, in 1989. From 1990 through 1998, he held the position of Professional Coating Sales Representative in the Dallas/Fort Worth District. In 2000, he was promoted to the Industrial & Marine Sales Representative position and most recently held the position of Area Industrial & Marine Sales Manager for the central area of the Mid Western Division.
    He received numerous awards while with Sherwin Williams, including the Masters Club Award, Leaders Club Award and the Presidents Club Award, which is the highest award level for the sales representative position.
    He enjoyed sports and playing Texas Hold-em in charity poker tournaments.
    Survivors include his father, Gene Skinner and his wife, Peggy, Ardmore; three sisters, Jeannine St. Clair, Ardmore, Carole Carvel, Memphis, Tenn., and Beverly Hybart and her husband, Mike, Hannville, La.; two brothers, Charles Skinner, Ardmore, and Richard Mullens, Brookland, Texas; two stepsisters, Tammy Landgraff and her husband, Ronnie, and Denise Faulkner and her husband, Perry Lee; a stepbrother, Perry Phillips and his wife, Sandra; a goddaughter, Harper Crisp; and numerous nieces and nephews.
    Bearers will be Allan McFatridge, Tony Farve, Ben Forbes, David Clifford, Marcus Baker, Jon Piatt, Jeff Gilbert, Craig Watkins and Earl Baker.
    Visitation and support will be from 7-8 p.m. tonight, July 11, 2008, in the funeral home.
