Both Lone Grove and Healdton were ranked No. 1 respectively in Class 4A and Class 2A polls, and it was the Longhorns (12-0) who came out on top in the battle of No. 1s.

With a 1-0 lead in the first inning, Lone Grove’s Alyssa Ferguson hit a 2-run home run to increase it it to 3-0. A 2-run long ball by Tori Deck made it 5-0 in the top of the second.

The Bulldogs bounced back with a two-run double by Marla Scott and a two-run triple by Aundie pemberton in the seventh. But Lone Grove hung on.

Tiarra Marks (11-0) got the win on the mound. Lindsi Glenn (10-2) got the loss for Healdton.

The Longhorns were led at the plate by Deck’s 4-for-4 effort. Pemberton and Kadan Brady each led Healdton with 2-for-4 performances.

Madill 10, Kingston 0, 4 inn.: At Kingston. The Wildcats had no problem dispensing with the Redskins. Kenns Self, Emily Little, Courtney Cardinas each went 2-for-2 at bat, while Sarah Codner went 2-for-3.

Wilson 16, Turner 4, 3 inn.: At Wilson, The Wilson Eagles scored 10 runs in the bottom of the third to put the finishing touches on a victory over the Turner Falcons. The game ended by run-rule after three innings.


Wilson (6-1), got two in the first four in the second and polished things off with 10 in the third. Turner got a run in the first and three in the third.


Megan Derryberry was two for four with four runs batted in and two runs scored for the Eagles, and Brittney Shepherd was two for three with two runs scored. Paige Reed had a one for two game, including a double, with two runs scored.


Reed got the win for the Eagles to improve to 5-1. Paige Rhodes fell to 0-3 with the loss for the Falcons.
 
Comanche 3, Davis 2: At Davis, Comanche pushed across a run in the top of the seventh to defeat the Wolves Tuesday. After Comanche got a run in the top of the first and top of the third, Davis pulled even with two in the bottom of the fifth.


But after the Indians struck for a run in the top of the seventh, Davis was unable to match it in the bottom of the inning.


Casha Birch was two for three, including a triple for Davis. Casey Fisher and Tayler Lacy both tripled for the Wolves.


Kenzie Reed got the win for Comanche. Erin Henley (5-3), took the loss for Davis (7-5).
