Angela Wade, student services coordinator at Southern Oklahoma Technology Center, was recently named Educator of the Year in the Special Needs Division by the Oklahoma Association of Career and Technology Education.


Angela Wade, student services coordinator at Southern Oklahoma Technology Center, was recently named Educator of the Year in the Special Needs Division by the Oklahoma Association of Career and Technology Education.


Wade received the honor during the 2008 Career and Technology Education Summer Conference at the Cox Convention Center in Oklahoma City. The conference attracts more than 3,500 career and technology educators from across Oklahoma.


Oklahoma ACTE is the professional organization for the state’s career and technology education administrators, teachers and staff members.


Wade became a member of ACTE and OACTE in 1998, joining SOTC as a physics instructor. 
She served four terms as secretary and one as president-elect of OACTE Special Needs Division. 


In 2006, Wade began supervising recruitment, career counseling, enrollment, financial aid, and dropout recovery at SOTC.
