Authorities are on the lookout for a man who robbed an Ardmore bank Friday morning.

Cpl. John Randolph of the Ardmore Police Department said the suspect passed a note to a teller asking for money just before 10 a.m. at IBC Bank, 2302 12th Ave. NW. The suspect escaped with an undisclosed amount of money. Randoph said the suspect did not display a weapon and left the bank on foot.

The suspect was described as a white male between 20 and 30 years old, 6-foot-1, about 180 pounds, with reddish-brown hair. The suspect was reportedly wearing reading glasses, khaki shirt and shorts, a khaki military-style hat and low-top shoes.

The investigation is continuing and a $2,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to the conviction of the person responsible. Anyone with information about the suspect’s whereabouts or other information about the robbery should call the Ardmore Police Department at (580) 223-1212 or the Federal Bureau of Investigation at (504) 290-7770.

The FBI is participating because robbing a bank is a federal crime.
