Services for Betty Riesen Dillard are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday in the Craddock Memorial Chapel with Rev. Dan Patman officiating; interment will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. 


Betty was born Nov. 2, 1929, in Ardmore to Albert and Maurine Dudley Easley Riesen. She passed this life on Oct. 28, 2008 in a local hospital. She lived all of her life in Ardmore and was a member of the Presbyterian Church. She was partners with her brother Albert (Buddy) Riesen in The Daily Ardmoreite for many years. She loved to read and had an eloquent command of the English language.


She is survived by one son, Gary Ries Dillard and his wife Susie of Ardmore; one daughter, Denise D. Gleason of Nichols Hills, Okla.; one brother, Albert Riesen Jr. and his wife Marian; one granddaughter, Maria Brantley; nieces and nephews, Tom and Mark Riesen, Katie Riesen Lathrop, John Riesen, Lisa Martin, Liz Dexter, Seane Jones, Davy Madewell, Desiree Britain, Kateri Thompson and several other nieces and nephews.


She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Douglas C. Dillard, her older brother John Riesen and niece Jamie Lam. Donations can be made to Cross Timbers Hospice, 207 “C” NW, Ardmore.
