The Oklahoma Football Coaches Association announced its Football All-Stars on Thursday and local teams were well represented.

Unlike the Association’s All-State Game teams that disregard classification, each class has its own East and West team. Ardmore placed two linemen on the 5A West team: Jacob Reed on offense and Michael Reed on defense.

Leading the way with three selections was Madill, with wide receivers/defensive backs Kyle Cass and Tim Hardin and two-way lineman J.R. Trevino selected to the Class 3A East All-Stars. Trevino already made the July 31 All-State Game at Tulsa Union, with his coach Kerry Roberts coaching the East team.

Class 2A had the most local representatives with five players, all from District 2A-4. Oklahoma Mr. Football finalist Grant Couch, a two-way lineman and quarterback/DB John Collette of Davis, QB/DB Brandon Allen and running back/linebacker Logan Russell of Plainview and defensive back Zac Swartz were all 2A West Team selections.

All but Swartz were two-way selections.

Ringling placed a pair of defensive linemen on the A West team in Joby Barnes and Zach Smith.

The eight-man All-Star teams will be released at a later date.
