A woman in her 40s died in a single vehicle crash on Tuesday at 7:30 a.m.

Leah Williams of Ringling was killed on the 3300 block of West Broadway while driving a 2008 Dodge Ram on a misty morning during near freezing temperatures, police officials said.

“Our accident review team will review the accident prior to making any final determinations, but at this time the preliminary findings are that the accident was due to a combination of weather conditions and speeds,” said Sgt. Ryan Hunnicutt, Ardmore Police Department Patrol Division.

Hunnicutt said there were a number of vehicle accidents that morning caused by the unusually slick roads and low visiblity.

Police officials said Williams’ death occurred from injuries sustained while driving the two-door Dodge during the accident.

Williams was taken by ambulance to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, where she died, said police officials.
