St. Mary


There will be no Faith Formation classes at St. Mary, Our Lady of the Rosary, Catholic Church Sunday or Jan. 4. Classes for all ages will resume Jan. 11.


The parish office will close at noon Dec. 31 and reopen at 10 a.m. Jan. 5.


There will be no Youth Group meeting Sunday due to the Christmas holiday. An Epiphany Party is set for 6-8 p.m. Jan. 4.


The Youth Group will also sponsor a garage sale in January. Members of the group are accepting donations of items for the sale.


St. Mary’s Loaves and Fishes assignment for January is one pound packages of rice.


A Kids Eagerly Endorsing Purity Training will be 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Jan. 9-10 at Epiphany Parish in Oklahoma City. The cost of the training is free. Interested person should contact Marilyn Neubauer, St. Mary Director of Religious Education.


The church is accepting donations of aluminum cans. Proceeds from the sale of cans goes to the building fund.

Seventh-day Adventist


Worship at Ardmore’s Seventh-day Adventist Church begins with Sabbath School at 9:15 a.m. Saturday, followed by a sermon presented by Pastor David Resendes at 11 a.m.


Other worship and study events during the week include:


• Monday –– a Spanish Bible Study at start at 7 p.m.
• Tuesday –– the Men’s Study Group will meet at 7 p.m.
• Wednesday –– Prayer Meeting at 7 p.m.

First Methodist


Sunday school for all ages at First United Methodist Church begins at 9:45 a.m. and there are opportunities to worship before and after classes.


Traditional worship services are conducted at 8:30 a.m. in McClure Chapel and at 10:55 a.m. in the sanctuary. At 11 a.m. EPIC, a casual-contemporary service, is conducted in Colvert Ministry Center.


Both the junior and senior high school youth groups will meet at 6 p.m. Sunday night.

First Baptist


First Baptist Church will conduct regularly scheduled services Sunday.


The church office will close at 3 p.m. Wednesday and no evening activities will be conducted. The church office will also be closed New Year’s Day.


The church office will reopen Friday.


Information is now available concerning the CrossTimbers Children’s Summer Mission Adventure Camp. The camp, in McAlester, is for third-graders through sixth-graders. Available camping weeks are: June 1-5, June 8-12, June 15-19, July 6-10 and July 20-24. Those wishing to learn more about the camping experience should contact Bronwen in the church education office.
