Funeral services for Dwight Wayne Rush will be Monday, Dec. 29, 2008 at 2:00 PM in the Colvert Ministry Center of the First United Methodist Church.  Rev. Dan Patman will officiate. Funeral services have been entrusted to Craddock Funeral Home. Dwight was born April 21, 1949 in Humphries County, MS. to Thomas Allen and Adell Moudy Rush.  He departed this life at his home on Dec. 25, 2008. 

He was married to Patricia Yanda Marsh in Indianola, MS on Jan. 1, 1997.  They moved to Ardmore 6 years ago from Indianola, MS. He owned and operated a lawn care service.  He was a member of the First United Methodist Church.  He attended the Walk to Emmaus in Mississippi prior to moving to Ardmore and remained an active member of the Emmaus community here as long as his health permitted.

He is survived by:
His wife, Pat, of the home; daughter and Son-in-law, Rachael Lorraine and Kenneth Whittington, Ardmore; son:  Curtis Andrew Rush, US Army, Iraq; mother:  Adell Rush, Cleveland, MS; two sisters and brothers-in-law:  Janis and Curtis Lofton, Cleveland, MS, and Linda Kay and Jim Rettberg, Tacoma Park, MD; two brothers and sisters-in-law:  Ralph and Kay Rush, Cleveland, MS and Allen and Floydene Rush, Doddsville, MS; two stepdaughters and their husbands, Monica and Michael Bottoms, Oklahoma City, and Karolyn and Matthew Hawley, Cummings, GA; two stepsons and their wives:  Martin and Kery Yanda, Oklahoma City, and Alan and Kathy Yanda, Portland, OR; father-in-law and wife:  Denzil and Joyce Marsh, Bethalto, IL; brother-in-law and wife, Jim and Darlene Lindsey, Lenexa, KS; 15 grandchildren:  Laney, Whit, Braxtyn and Elliott Whittington, Ardmore, Bryan and Kris Bottoms, Oklahoma City. Meghan, Nathan and Aaron Hawley, Cummings, GA, Cherity, Holli, April and Luke Yanda, Oklahoma city, Kennedy  and Henry Yanda, Portland, OR.

In lieu of flowers the family request donation be made to Cross Timbers Hospice, 207 C Street NW, Ardmore, Ok 73401

Family will receive friend Sunday evening from 7 to 8 PM at Craddock Funeral Home. 525 South Commerce.
