The Southern Oklahoma Roughnecks will take the field this weekend with good intentions.

The semi-pro football team will donate one half of its opening game gate profits to the United Way of Southern Oklahoma. The Roughnecks will take on the Arkansas Golden Eagles at 5 p.m. Saturday at Horton Field.

“In this time when many people are struggling because of the storm damage in our area, we want to help out as much as we can,” Roughnecks owner Scott Webb said via press release. “We know that by partnering with the United Way we will be able to make a positive impact on our community.”

Admission is $5 for adults and $1 for students.
