Ardmore police are seeking possible links to Tuesday morning’s early morning pharmacy burglary that netted thieves hundreds of the narcotic known as hydrocodone.

“At this point we are talking to other agencies to determine what similarities this crime may have to recent incidents in surrounding regional communities,” said Robin Beal, APD public information officer.

“The suspects seemed to know what they were after,” Beal said of the 2 a.m. heist at Tigert Pharmacy, located in Tiffany Plaza.

“The front door was the point of entry. The glass was not broken, but the locking mechanism on the door was compromised. It (break in) was discovered after the alarm company detected an intrusion and notified APD dispatch.”

Reports indicate officers were on the scene within minutes and confirmed the break in. However, Beal said, the burglars had vanished.

Police are asking for assistance in identifying those involved in the crime. Anyone with information is asked to contact police headquarters at (580) 223-1212.
