It was a big day on the mats for Sulphur’s Logan Grinstead, Davis’ Christian Bailey and Ardmore’s Michael Reed.


The trio took home individual state wrestling titles at the Oklahoma State Fairgrounds Arena Saturday.


Grinstead (285 pounds) defeated Trevor Summitt of Newkirk 9-1 to win in Class 3A, Bailey defeated Berryhills’s Codee Barnerll 6-0 to win the 3A 112-pound title and Ardmore’s Reed (285) won a 5-2 decision over Bryan Soloman of El Reno in 5A.


Madill’s Brad Avery (189) placed second in 4A to Cody Johnson of Oologah, falling in a 10-4 decision.
