Lone Grove had 20 at-bats and scored 14 runs in the first inning alone, en route to a 17-2, four-inning win over Healdton on Monday.
Jonathan Gannon and D.J. Epley batted three times that inning. The two seniors each finished with two hits, as did Dylan Ward, Tyler Thomason and Josh Duncan. Ward, who was 2-for-2, batted in three runs, and Duncan added an RBI.
Thirteen of Lone Grove’s runs came with two outs, as the Longhorns erased a 2-0 deficit. The Longhorns had 10 hits that inning.
Kale Hunter (3-3) allowed only two hits, both in the first inning, and struck out four in the win. Devon Treadwell drove in both runs for Healdton.
Davis 18 Kingston 3
DAVIS — It just keeps getting better for Davis.
The Wolves won their seventh game in a row with an 18-3 win over Kingston on Monday. During the winning streak, Davis (19-6) has scored double-digits in each game and 104 total runs.
“After being shut out at Sulphur, we had a little heart-to-heart” Davis coach Micah Noland said.
Kingston’s Dalton Gorrell hit a 2-run home run in the fourth inning to pull the Redskins to within four at 6-2, but Davis erupted for 11 runs in the bottom of the fifth.
Cole Weber was 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI, and Beau Wygant, Trevor Thomason and John Collette each added three RBI for the Wolves.
Collette also pitched, improving to 8-0 for the season.
Madill 9 Marietta 1
MADILL — At Madill’s Senior Night, Kyle Cass and Trevor Raper were honored, and the two came through on the mound.
Raper tossed four innings and Cass came on for the save in a 9-1 win for the Wildcats.
Trey Moore and Brad Avery each had RBI doubles for Madill (9-11). Moore added a home run for the Wildcats.
