William “Bill” Taylor, 73, of Ames died peacefully at home on Tuesday, May 26, 2009. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 30, at 1:30 p.m. at Stevens Memorial Chapel in Ames.


William “Bill” Taylor, 73, of Ames died peacefully at home on Tuesday, May 26, 2009. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 30, at 1:30 p.m. at Stevens Memorial Chapel in Ames.


Bill was born June 21, 1935, in Woodford, Okla. to John P. and Magalee Taylor. He was a research animal pathologist at USDA for over 40 years. He enjoyed rodeos, photography, dancing and music.


He is survived by a son, Brian (Silke) Taylor of Urbana, Ill.; and a cousin, Haywood (Pamela) Norton of Carmel Valley, Calif.


He was preceded in death by his parents; former wife, Dolores Keith; and son, John
