Tom was born in Hutchinson, Kan., Nov. 17, 1939, to the late Mr. Paul Bentley Hall and Mrs. Melissa Ailene (Randle) Hall. He departed this life Thursday morning, Jan. 20, 2010, at his Texas home.

Tom and the former Ms. Ada Jane Lofton were united in marriage Nov. 25, 1964, at Maize, Kan. They moved to Wilson in 1974, living and residing at Wilson. Tom worked the majority of his working years for Sutherland Well Service of Healdton, Okla., where his boss was much more than a boss. Scott Sutherland became a lifelong friend and Tom was very grateful for all that Scott did for him and his family through the years. When Tom wasn’t working he enjoyed a wide variety of things, from camping with the family to hunting with greyhounds. Towards the end of his life he most enjoyed every precious moment he could spend with his children, grandchildren and his dear “42” friends. Tom was also a veteran of the United States Navy serving honorably as a catapult man on the Aircraft Carrier USS Hancock.

Preceding him in death is his loving wife, Ada Jane Hall of 38 years, who passed away Jan. 2, 2003; his parents; three sisters, Lavonne Smith, Maxine Hultman, and Nadine and husband, Bill Hunt.

Survivors include his three daughters, Tammy Tucker and husband, Terrell of Wilson, Pamela Caldwell of Velma, and Sara Hall of Lone Grove; two sons, Thomas Hall Jr. and wife, Heather of Overton, Texas, and Paul “Benny” Hall of Troup, Texas; seven grandchildren, Jessica and Josh Caldwell, Amie and Jonathon Tucker, Derek Chatham, Hanna Hall and Sylvia Hall; three great-grandchildren, Hayden Mantooth, River Williams and Miranda Moore; sister, Masil Mann and husband, Keith Mann of Wilson, and brother-in- law, Ezra Smith of Maize, Kan; and numerous other family and friends.

Casket Bearers will be Larry Young, Angie Mapp, Scott Sutherland, Jeff Kays, Peggy Sears, and Wayne Brown.

Donations are encouraged to be made in memory of Tom to Cross Timbers Hospice of Southern Oklahoma, 207 C St. NW, Ardmore, OK 73401 or Hospice of East Texas, 4111 University Dr., Tyler, TX 75701.

Family visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Alexander Funeral Home in Wilson.

Tom’s last wish was for all his family and friends to gather at Badd Habits, west of Wilson, following his service, as his “Farewell Party”.
