George Rodriguez Ruiz, 67, of Mannsville, Oklahoma, passed away Thursday, March 25, 2010, at his home in Mannsville. He was born on February 3, 1943, to the late Manuel Ruiz and Paz Rodriguez Ruiz in Fort Worth, Texas. George was raised in Fort Worth and worked for General Motors for 22 years before moving to Mannsville in 1989. He married Sabrina Nelms on June 28, 1980, in Fort Worth. George was a little league coach and a 4-H and FFA supporter. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dickson and was a Hot Sauce maker extraordinaire.

He is survived by his wife, Sabrina Ruiz, Mannsville, Oklahoma; children,  Anthony Ruiz, Mannsville, Oklahoma,  John Ruiz and wife, Melody, and daughter, Mia, Mannsville, Oklahoma, George R. Ruiz and wife, Laura and son, Nicholas, Bedford, Texas, Chris Ruiz and wife, Rosie and son, Anthony, Washington, Penn., Rudy Ruiz and wife, Tiffanie and children, Gabriella, Noah and Liberty, North Richland Hill, Texas; brother, J. Guillermo (Billy) Ruiz and wife, Mary Alice, Fort Worth, Texas; sister in-law, Rosemary Ruiz, Fort Worth, Texas; mother –in law, Missy Nelms, Mannsville, Oklahoma.

George was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Gilbert Ruiz.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to the Gideons International or the Madill Baptist Home for Girls, PO Box 595, Madill, Ok 73446.

Funeral services will be Monday, March 29, 2010, at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, Dickson, Oklahoma. John Hatfield will officiate the services. Music arranged by Ginger, Macy and Brianne Cothran and Boomer Hatfield. Interment will be at the Troy Cemetery, Troy, Okla. 
Casket bearers are Bill Russell, Lew Hudson, Don Kendrick, Wayne McWirt, Stanley Glenn, Carl Gene Buchanan, Derrick Warren and Joe Broughton.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 28, 2010, from noon to 9 p.m. Family hour will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Oklahoma.                       

Services will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Oklahoma.
