Two sisters are going on the trips of a lifetime this summer as People to People Student Ambassadors.

“We’re going to places tourists never go,” Plainview seventh-grader Reyna Revelle said.

People to People provides educational travel opportunities for American youth to travel the world.

Reyna will be touring Europe with stops in France, Austria, Switzerland and Italy.

“I’m looking forward to the home stay. I want to see how they cook and do their daily life because maybe it’s different from what we do,” Reyna said.

She and her family have visited Rome while on vacation and she looks forward to going back.

“I would like to see some churches we saw. I really like the architecture and city streets,” Reyna said. “I like to see the way it looks.”

Her sister, fourth-grader Madison, will be traveling to western Canada.

“I’m looking forward to Vancouver, where the Olympics were held. I enjoy watching speed skating and skiing downhill,” Madison said. “I’m also looking forward to staying in a college room. I want to see how it feels.”

They are the daughters of Hal and Lillian Revelle.

Both girls have big dreams for when they grow up.

“I’m going to be an astronaut so I can have a feeling of flying and see all the planets and be the first woman on Mars,” Madison said.

“I want to be an OB-GYN because I like to see babies,” Reyna said.

The sisters have been fundraising and looking for sponsors for their trips. They recently raised over $600 for their trips through a raffle for a Turkman Afghan rug won by Devyn Butts.

Both students have high hopes for their trips to other countries.

“I want to get a lot of souvenirs and a lot of pictures and a lot of experience,” Reyna said.
