With budget issues once again at the forefront at the Ardmore City Schools board of education meeting Tuesday, the board unanimously approved a reduction in the superintendent’s contract.

At Superintendent Dr. Ruth Ann Carr’s request, the board discussed possible changes to her contract in executive session. Afterwards, the board approved a motion to revise the contract.

The revisions are Carr will not receive the compensation from the “Performance Section” of her contract for this year and next school year. Also, her contract for next school year has been reduced eight days.

Carr said the money saved will go “wherever it needs to.”
