Graveside services for Juddy “Jud” Lee Willard Pruitt, of Chickasha, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, April 29, 2010, in the Memory Lane Cemetery in Anadarko, Oklahoma.


Graveside services for Juddy “Jud” Lee Willard Pruitt, of Chickasha, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, April 29, 2010, in the Memory Lane Cemetery in Anadarko, Oklahoma.

 

Jud Pruitt was born March 10, 1935, in Ardmore, Oklahoma, the son of James and Murphy (Davis) Pruitt. He died April 26, 2010, at his home in Chickasha.

 

He grew up in Ardmore where he attended school and graduated from Ardmore High School. After high school, Jud joined the U.S. Air Force, where he proudly served his country, until he was honorably discharged.

 

Jud later attended Barber School in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and received his certificate as a Master Barber.
He loved the outdoors and he enjoyed hunting, fishing and his frequent visits with his sister, Sue.
Jud was preceded in death by both parents; grandparents, John A. and Vannah Davis and Judson and Molly Pruitt; and one brother-in-law, Allen “Mac” Hart.

 

He is survived by his sister, Vannah Sue “Hazel” Hart of Chickasha; his children, Jud, Susan and Craig and their families, all of the Oklahoma City area; nephew, Allen McBride Hart Jr.; niece and husband, Cindy (Hart) and Coby Morris and their children, Drake, Cade, and Ashlyn Morris.

 

Services are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
