Roy was born to Homer and Annie Bulah “Cheek” Gregg, April 2, 1934, in Orr, Okla. He went to be with his Lord and Savior with all of his family at his side on April 28, 2010, at the Healdton Hospital.

Roy attended school at Orr and in Ringling. He married Lou Alice Miller on June 7, 1957, in Ardmore. They made their home in Ringling, moving to Ardmore, then settling in Wilson in 1988, where he lived the remainder of his life.

Roy was employed by Uniroyal in the mixing department, retiring in 1988. He continued to raise cattle. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, hunting and caring for his livestock, which included cows, geese and chickens. He also made his rounds checking on his neighbors making sure they were okay.

Roy loved his family and enjoyed every minute he spent with them, especially his grandchildren. He not only loved his own grandchildren, but had a soft spot for all children, and they all loved him too. Roy attended the Rexroat Baptist Church in Wilson as long as his health would allow. He was an honest man and you would never meet a more kind and genuine person. Our loss is Heavens gain. He will be dearly missed.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Meredith, Garth Branch, Larry Branch, Ty Branch, Garth Branch and Steve Argo. Honorary bearers are Monroe White, Dale Cornelison and Dennis Stangle.
