Services for Daniel G. Jencik, 64, of Oklahoma City, Okla., will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday, June 19, 2010, at the Fox Baptist Church in Fox, Okla. Officiating will be Brother Carl Taylor. Burial with full military honors provided by the United States Air force will follow at Mount Olive Cemetery in Healdton.

Daniel was born on May 18, 1946, in Cleveland, Ohio, to George John and Amelia Antonia Dolezal Jencik.

 

He departed this life on June 16, 2010, at his Oklahoma City residence.

 

Daniel was raised in Cleveland and entered the United States Air Force on October 6, 1965. While stationed in the states he met and married the former Glenda Gail Hoggard on July 1, 1967, in Union Missouri. He later went off to proudly serve in Vietnam.

 

Upon returning to the states, he was employed by General Motors for 13 years and then worked as a plant manager in a shell mine retiring in 1994.

 

He and Glenda moved to Oklahoma City in 1996 to enjoy their retirement.  He enjoyed camping, fishing and bowling and especially going to Las Vegas.

 

Daniel was preceded in death by his parents.

 

Daniel was survived by his wife of 44 years, Glenda Gail Jencik of the home; three children, Michelle Klag and husband, Jim, Daniel Jencik Jr. and wife, April and Adam Jencik and wife, Jennifer; six grandchildren, Alex, Chase, Paige, Jacen, Kadie and Kacie; and one sister, Sandra Wolfert and husband, Don and their daughter, Samantha.

 

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Hoggard, Shawn Hoggard, Sammy Hoggard, Terry Hoggard, Eddy Ruth, Toby Wallace, Steve Wallace, Timmy George, Milo Hoggard and Keith Morse.

 

Services are under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.
