Services for Ethel Scivally, 97, of Marietta, Okla., are set for 10 a.m. Saturday, October 23, 2010, in the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home Chapel, Marietta, with interment to follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Marietta, under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home & Cremation Services.


Services for Ethel Scivally, 97, of Marietta, Okla., are set for 10 a.m. Saturday, October 23, 2010, in the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home Chapel, Marietta, with interment to follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Marietta, under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home & Cremation Services.

 

The daughter of W.T. and Eva Hott Bond, Mrs. Scivally was born January 23, 1913 in Cooke County, TX. She passed away Tuesday, October 19, in Lake Country Nursing Center, Marietta.

 

A homemaker, Mrs. Scivally had been a resident of Love County most of her life. She and M. Clovis Scivally were married in Marietta on September 22, 1928, and he preceded her in death on July 15, 1988. Mrs. Scivally was an excellent cook, enjoyed farm chores and gardening, and especially loved being with her family. She was a member of the Thackerville First United Methodist Church.

 

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; son, Vernon Scivally in 1931; grandson, Bobby Scivally on June 27, 1982; granddaughter, Susan Scivally Stewart on January 10, 2010; five brothers and two sisters.

 

She is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Thurman and Ann Scivally of Gainesville, Texas, Roy Lavern and Rosalind Scivally of Fort Worth, Texas, Glen and Kathye Scivally, also of Gainesville, and Don and Linda Scivally of Thackerville, Okla; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Jimbo and Colleen Bond of Fort Worth, Lynn and Betty Bond of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Gene and Nadine Bond of Marietta; 16 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

 

Serving as bearers will be grandsons, Dale Scivally, Rick Scivally, Cliff Scivally, Jay Scivally, Rob Scivally and Ryan Scivally.

 

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home.
