A Ringling man died Thursday from injuries he sustained a week ago in a single-vehicle crash two miles south of Wilson.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported Marion Ward, 40, died about 11:15 a.m. at Parkland Hospital in Dallas.

Ward had been airlifted with multiple injuries from the scene of the crash about 12:52 p.m. Oct. 15.

The patrol said Ward was northbound on a county road in a 2002 Chevrolet.

The car ran off the road. Ward overcorrected, sending the car off the road again, where it rolled once before coming to rest on its wheels.

Ward was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the car during the crash.

The cause of the accident was listed as speed.
