Marilyn Farris, 62, died Wednesday, October 20, 2010, at her residence in Lone Grove after an illness. The daughter of John and Mary Mitchell Corzine, Marilyn was born May 25, 1948, at Hobbs, New Mexico.

 


Marilyn Farris, 62, died Wednesday, October 20, 2010, at her residence in Lone Grove after an illness. The daughter of John and Mary Mitchell Corzine, Marilyn was born May 25, 1948, at Hobbs, New Mexico.

 

She and Sam Farris were married June 20, 1969, at Hobbs, New Mexico. They moved to Lone Grove in 1982 from Corpus Christi, Texas.

 

Of Church of Christ faith, Marilyn was co-owner of Lone Grove Pawn and Gun. She enjoyed growing flowers and vegetables and being a homemaker.

 

Survivors include her husband, Sam Farris of the home; a daughter, Trina Farris of Seattle, Washington; a son and his wife, Brent and Kristy Farris of Ardmore; twin grandchildren, Bryce and Benley Farris; her mother and stepfather, Mary and Tommie Murr of Junction, Texas; a brother and his wife, David and Janet Corzine, Denver, Colorado; and sisters, Belinda Hays, Gillette, Wyoming and Margaret Ayers and her husband, Joe of Florida.

 

Her father and an infant brother, John Corzine Jr., preceded her in death.

 

Memorial services for Marilyn will be 2 p.m. Saturday, October 23, 2010, at the Lone Grove Church of Christ conducted by Mr. Carl Harris.

 

Memorials may be made to Cross Timbers Hospice.

 

Arrangements are entrusted to Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home and Crematory.
