The Ardmore High School Class of 1940 had its 70-year reunion on Oct. 15.


The Ardmore High School Class of 1940 had its 70-year reunion on Oct. 15.

 

The celebration began with a come-and-go visitation in the Comfort Inn suite, hosted by Glen Wilson and daughter Claudia Burr.

 

The Comfort Inn provided coffee and other beverages, and members furnished refreshments throughout the day.

 

Many members from out of town did not arrive until afternoon.

 

A total of 29 people attended the class dinner that night at Fireside Dining. There were 11 alumni present. The others attending were family members and friends of alumni. There were 10 classmates from Ardmore who were unable to attend.

 

The Class of 1940 had 160 graduates. There are 24 still living. Three live in California.

 

Class member Inola Brown said “There were several walkers, a few canes, a wheelchair or two, but it was a wonderful fellowship. we decided to remember the past, enjoy the present and look forward to every sunrise.
