Friday — Downtown Trick or Treat from 3 to 5 p.m. Main Street from Central Park to Wash­ington Street and Wash­ington Street to Caddo Street will be closed to traffic for the event. There will be a Chil­dren’s Costume Contest at the Tivoli Theatre. Registration begins at 3 p.m. with the contest at 4 p.m.

Friday — Emman­uel Baptist Church 11th Annual Trunk or Treat, 5 to 7 p.m., 307 4th Ave. S.E.

Friday — First Unit­ed Methodist Church Fall Festival starting at 5:30 p.m.

Friday — First Bap­tist Church Harvest Party 5 to 7 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall

Saturday — Hallow­een Carnival from 5:30 to 8 p.m. sponsored by the Elk’s Lodge, 2526 S. Commerce St. Hamburg­ers and hot dogs avail­able, along with games. Costume contest at 7:45 p.m.

Saturday — First Christian Church will sponsor a Halloween Carvnival Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m., 515 Maxwell Ave.

Sunday — Lone Grove Haunted House, 7 to 10 p.m., located from U.S. Highway 70 and Newport Road, 1¼ miles north, look for signs and flashing light.


Saturday — Trick of Treat Main Street from 5 to 7 p.m. Main Street will be roped off for the event. Chamber of Com­merce will sponsor a supper of chili, stew, corn bread, dessert and tea or coffee at the Lee Build­ing following the event.


Saturday — Fall Festival starting at 5 p.m. on Main Street. Costume contest, food booths, a cake walk, ka­raoke contest and spook house. Contest registra­tion starts at 4 p.m. En­try fee is $2 per person. Judging begins at 5 p.m.

Saturday — Haunt­ed House, sponsored by Marietta Fire Depart­ment, opens at 7 p.m. at the fire department, located on Main Street. Cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children. Do­nations will also be ac­cepted. Proceeds benefit MFD.
