Six Plainview players earned individual honors and Madill’s Spencer Bond was named MVP on the 2010 All-District 3A-2 team released Thursday.

A four-year starter for the Wildcats, Bond guided Madill to an 8-3 record and second place in 3A-2. District champion Plainview claimed the most awards, including the coach of the year honor for second-year coach Chris Berus.

The Indians won seven consecutive games to win 3A-2 after starting the season 0-3 in non-district play. Tyler Winnard was named co-defensive MVP along with Nick Crawford of Pauls Valley and Jeff Henry shared the outstanding offensive lineman award with Sulphur’s Spencer Kirkpatrick.

Conner Hannan shared outstanding defensive end with Andrew Gray of Purcell and Ryan Capps was named outstanding defensive back along with Hunter Marcum of Purcell. Plainview’s Chad Smith and Sam Waters were the outstanding quarterback and kicker, respectively.

Lone Grove running back Dalton Keeton was the offensive MVP and the Longhorns’ Calvin Helmers was named the outstanding special teams returner. Including Crawford, Pauls Valley had three individual winners in Dylan Norman (outstanding receiver) and Robert Smith (outstanding defensive lineman). Caleb Neal of Sulphur and Isaac Green of Madill shared the outstanding linebacker award, while Cedric Polk of Purcell was the outstanding running back.
