The grand marshals for the 33rd Annual Toys For Tots Southern Oklahoma Children’s Christmas Parade are District Judge Tom Walker and Kenny Tudor.

They will lead the annual Christmas parade that leaves from the Greater Southwest Historical Museum at 10:30 a.m. Saturday on its way through downtown Ardmore.

Walker is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association Lawyers in the Classroom Program, serves on the board of directors for the Community Children’s Shelter, helped develop the Child Welfare Services operating policy and is active with the Court Appointed Special Advocates program.

“I am surprised and honored to be selected,” Walker said.

“One of the highlights of my years on the bench has been the opportunity to help children. Because so much of what I have done over the years has been at the state level, it is humbling to be recognized here at home.”

Tudor is a board member for CASA and Communities in Schools, is a foster-care parent, Sunday school teacher and a youth leader at Christ Community Church.

“I am very excited to have been chosen as one of the grand marshals,” Tudor said. “It’s a pleasure to be a part of a community that devotes so much of its time and resources to benefit children. The people of Ardmore are very special in that respect.”

The grand marshals will begin their duties tonight by lighting the Christmas tree in Central Park at the Toys For Tots Southern Oklahoma Children’s Christmas Parade Committee’s annual tree-lighting ceremony.
