William Bruce Hamm, 59, left this life on February 18, 2011 after a courageous 8-month battle with cancer. He was born on November 30, 1951 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Joyce Ann “Boots” and William Bee Patrick “Bill” Hamm. He graduated from Ardmore High School in 1969 and attended the University of Oklahoma until 1972. Afterwards he worked as an anchorman for Channel 12 News in Sherman, Texas. After residing in Las Vegas for many years, he moved back to Ardmore in 1994. Here, he was the owner and operator of the Credit Bureau of Ardmore and Credit Service, Inc. He was secretary of the Kiwanis Club of Ardmore from 1997 to 2000. He was the supportive, hard-working father of four children.

He is survived by his four children, Chris Hamm of Las Vegas; Billy Hamm, Travis Hamm, Cheyenne Hamm, and their mother Phyllis Angelo, all of Ardmore, one granddaughter Skyler Rei Hamm of Las Vegas; three brothers Steve Hamm of Ardmore; Larry Hamm of Plano, Texas; and James Hamm of Dallas; Nephew Stephen Hamm of Weatherford, Texas; niece Corinne Hamm of Howe, Texas.

 

He was preceded in death by his father William “Bill” Bee Patrick Hamm, and mother Joyce “Boots” Ann Hamm.

 

Graveside services for will be held on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Cemetery with Pastor Brendon Lee and Pastor Rhonda Howard officiating.
