Ardmore Village, a non-profit senior citizens’ residential community, was the dream of the Rev. Charles H. Brown. After seeing a housing need for seniors in southern Oklahoma, Brown obtained a funding grant from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development to begin a community for elders. Brown served as Ardmore Village’s executive director until May of 2003, when his daughter, Jessica Pfau, took over his position. Brown now holds the honorary title of director emeritus.
