Charlie Fieszel, 84, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away Saturday, February 19, 2011, at the Integris Hospice House in Oklahoma City. He was born on August 31, 1926, to the late Gus August Fieszel and Maud Ann Matthews Fieszel in Shay, Oklahoma.

 


Charlie Fieszel, 84, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away Saturday, February 19, 2011, at the Integris Hospice House in Oklahoma City. He was born on August 31, 1926, to the late Gus August Fieszel and Maud Ann Matthews Fieszel in Shay, Oklahoma.

 

Charlie was raised in Shay and Kingston where he lived until 1950 when he moved to Wichita Falls, Texas. He moved back to Kingston and then to Oklahoma City in 1959 where he lived the rest of his life. Charlie worked as a bricklayer for Don Bullock Masonry for several years. He was a member of the Baptist Faith and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

 

He is survived by: sons, Charles R. Fieszel, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Jimmy L. Fieszel and wife, Mae, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Ronald J. Fieszel, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

 

Charlie was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Lena Fieszel, Marie Lowe and Honey Matchen; brothers, Carl Fieszel and Howard Fieszel; and daughter-in-law, Pam Fieszel.

 

Services will be Wednesday, February 23, 2011, at 11 a.m. at the Watts Funeral Home in Kingston, Oklahoma. Kenneth McCarthick will officiate the services.

 

Interment will be at the Kingston Cemetery, Kingston, Oklahoma. Services will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Oklahoma.

 

Casket bearers: James R. Fieszel, Andy Fieszel, Earl Pool, Erik Reed, Kendall Fieszel, Billy Hill, Tony Reese and Vallo Dewberry.

 

Honorary bearers: William Thompson, Robert Lowe and Cecil Lowe.

 

Visitation will be today from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and family hour from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Watts Funeral Home, Kingston, Oklahoma.
