A pair of teenage girls are behind bars at a juvenile detention center facing charges of breaking and entering, possession of suspected drugs and carrying a concealed gun.


A pair of teenage girls are behind bars at a juvenile detention center facing charges of breaking and entering, possession of suspected drugs and carrying a concealed gun.

 

According to reports, the two, ages 13 and 14, were detained shortly after 4 p.m. Wednesday in the 900 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard. Capt. Eric Hamblin, Ardmore Police Department Patrol Division, said a witness reported seeing the pair break into a nearby residence and run from the residence when officers arrived. Both were taken into custody without incident.

 

“At the time, officers made contact with them they were in possession of suspected drugs, which have been sent for lab analysis and a .22 caliber handgun,” Hamblin said.

 

Charges are pending.
