Memorial Services for Charles Edmond Ramsay will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Craddock Memorial Chapel with Sam Gaddis officiating.

 

Charles was born November 10, 1938, in Pine Valley, Okla., to Richard and Evelyn Upchurch Ramsay. 

 

He passed from this life on April 19, 2012, at his residence at the age of 73.  

 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Hellen Ramsay; his parents, two sisters and two brothers.
Chuck delivered furniture and appliances for Montgomery Ward and Sears. He was a man that never met a stranger. Chuck retired from the Navy and was a member of the DAV, VFW and American Legion.  

 

He is survived by his children, Carol Cornwell and her husband, Daniel of Ardmore, Charlie Ramsay of San Diego, Calif., Spring Hessley of Ardmore, Leda Ramsay of Washington state, Laura Whitaker and husband, Neal of Ardmore, and Dawn Hessley of Ardmore; sisters, Cindy Ramsay, Peggy Gilmore, Verma Hailey, Sandy Ramsay, Connie Hernandez, Norma Kay Butler; brothers, Onie Ramsay, Larry Ramsay and Alvie Ramsay. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

 

A family visitation will be Monday 6-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
