Cynthia Faye Simpson, age 51, of Ardmore passed away on April 26, 2012, in Oklahoma City. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, April 30, 2012, at IOOF Cemetery in Norman, Okla. with Reverend Leroy Holman officiating.


Cynthia Faye Simpson, age 51, of Ardmore passed away on April 26, 2012, in Oklahoma City. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, April 30, 2012, at IOOF Cemetery in Norman, Okla. with Reverend Leroy Holman officiating.

 

Cynthia was born on January 11, 1961, in Oklahoma City, Okla., to Thomas D. Simpson, Sr. and Ruby Faye (Northcutt) Simpson.

 

She attended Moore grade schools, Dale Evans of Oklahoma City and graduated from Hilltop High School of Pauls Valley, Okla. Cynthia worked for Sunshine Industries until she retired. Cindy’s favorite quote was, “I heard that.”

 

She loved music, singing and playing tambourine and dancing, drawing and coloring and meeting new people. One of her favorite things to do was spending time with her friends at the group home. She also enjoyed going out to eat and shopping with her family and friends and playing with her dog, Harley.  

 

Cynthia was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Thomas Simpson, Jr.

 

She is survived by her step-mother, Virginia Simpson of Ardmore; brother, Joe Lynn Simpson of Ardmore; step-brother, Gerry DeLisle of Oklahoma City; and step-nephew, Nicklas DeLisle of Moore, Okla.

 

Honorary bearers will be Hank McSwain, Michael Compton, Ryan Oldham, Ramond Ramirez, Nicklas DeLisle, and Tony Brinkley.

 

Family visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m., today, April 29, 2012 at Griffin ~ Hillcrest Funeral Home, Ardmore.
