• Tulsa’s Watts Named to Hornung Award Watch List

  • University of Tulsa tailback/kick returner Trey Watts was named to the 2012 Watch List for the Paul Hornung Award presented by Texas Roadhouse, it was announced today by the Louisville Sports Commission.

  • University of Tulsa tailback/kick returner Trey Watts was named to the 2012 Watch List for the Paul Hornung Award presented by Texas Roadhouse, it was announced today by the Louisville Sports Commission.


     


    Watts is one of 49 multi-talented players named to the preseason watch list. The Paul Hornung Award, now in its third season, is given annually to the most versatile player in major college football by the Louisville Sports Commission and football legend Paul Hornung.


     


    The 5-foot 11-inch junior led the Golden Hurricane in all-purpose yardage last year with 1,629 yards for a 125.3 average per game. Watts was an honorable mention all-Conference USA selection as a sophomore.
