Graveside services for Carol Jean ”Parker” Jagers are scheduled at 10 a.m. Monday in Rose Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Don Ray Thomason officiating.

She was born October 18, 1947, to Roy J. and Mammie Etta Rich Parker in Ardmore.

She married the love of her life, Willie Jagers, on Oct. 26, 1971, in Gainesville, Texas. Out of that loving union came one son, Willie Jagers Jr. Everyone knew Carol as Jeannie, and she loved to play music and even turned down the chance to go to Nashville and be a big star. She had her own band at one time called Jeannie and the Midnighters. Jeannie was of the Baptist faith and she loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She loved to cook, sew and worry her little head off about everyone but herself.

She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Willie; her oldest son, Christopher Ray Parker; a loving daughter, Jamie Lynn Parker and her baby boy, Willie Jagers Jr.; sister, Mary Ann Davis, eight grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephew.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Mammie Parker; two sisters; and two brothers.

She was a wonderful mom and a devoted wife. She will be missed deeply.
