Ronnie Harris officiating, assisted by the Rev. Don Keizor. Interment with military honors will follow in the Lebanon Cemetery, Lebanon, Okla., under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home, Marietta.

    Mr. Vinson was born December 30, 1921, in Chattanooga, Okla., the son of Isaac Fred Vinson and Lucy Charlotta Weaver Vinson. He passed away Wednesday, September 5, in Mercy Health Love County, Marietta.
    A resident of the Enville area in Love County most of his life, Mr. Vinson was a dairy farmer and also a production supervisor for the Michelin plant in Ardmore, Okla. A WWII veteran, he entered the U.S. Army on July 7, 1942, and was honorably discharged on January 6, 1946. For his service, Thurman was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, the ATO Medal and the WWII Victory Medal. He married Dawnyce Eppler on January 24, 1942, in Marietta, and she preceded him in death on July 16, 1988. On March 25, 1989, he and Wilma Lee Cornelison were married in Love County.
    Mr. Vinson was a very active member of Eastside Baptist Church, singing in the choir for many years, serving as a deacon for more than 60 years and teaching a Sunday School Class all of his church life. He was extremely devoted to his family and his church family. Thurman also enjoyed farming and caring for his cattle.
    In addition to his first wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters and three brothers-in-law, Velma and Mirl Shipman, Juanita and Jake Chambers and Noah McMillin.
    He is survived by his wife, Wilma of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Fred and Sharon Vinson of Norman, Okla., and Larry and Pat Vinson of Ardmore; two daughters and sons-in-law, Phyllis and Jerry Kemp of Poteau, Okla., and Sonja and Phil Floyd of Springer, Okla.; brother and sister-in-law, Olan "O.I." and Juanita Vinson of Enville; sister, Thelma McMillin of Marietta; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a large extended family.
    Serving as bearers will be Chad Robinson, Koby Vinson, Randy McMillin, Dale Harvey, Carl Gragg and Wayne Bond. Honorary bearers are Dr. Vergil Smith, G.W. Flanagan, the Adult Men's III Sunday School Class and the Deacons of Eastside Baptist Church.
    Viewing will be from noon until 9 p.m. today with family hour set from 6 to 8 this evening at the funeral home.
