  • Glenda Christine King, 67, of Ardmore, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, September 16, 2012, at her home in Ardmore. She was born on July 27, 1945, in Phillips, Texas, to the late Eual and Ruby Adkins.

  • Glenda Christine King, 67, of Ardmore, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, September 16, 2012, at her home in Ardmore. She was born on July 27, 1945, in Phillips, Texas, to the late Eual and Ruby Adkins.
    Glenda was raised in Madill and graduated from Madill High School in 1963. She later moved to Oklahoma City and Healdton before moving to Ardmore where she lived the rest of her life. She enjoyed reading and attending her grandchildren and great-grandchildren sporting events.
    She is survived by: children, Alisa Benton, Healdton, Oklahoma, and Stephen Cox, Healdton, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and sisters, Francis Hix, Lone Grove, Oklahoma, and Paulette Collier, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
    Glenda was preceded in death by her parents; son, Ronnie Cox; granddaughter, Keisha Benton; and great-grandson, Jaylen Benton.
    Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a family hour from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Watts Funeral Home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, September 21, 2012, at the Woodberry-Forest Cemetery, Madill, Oklahoma. John King will officiate the services. Services will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Oklahoma. Condolences may be sent to wattsfuneralhome.com.
