  • OU cross country takes 1st place in Virginia

  • The Oklahoma men’s cross country team finished first at the 2012 Virginia/Panorama Farms Invitational in Charlottesville, Va., on Saturday.

  • The Oklahoma men’s cross country team finished first at the 2012 Virginia/Panorama Farms Invitational in Charlottesville, Va., on Saturday.  


    Oklahoma was led by senior Bill Kogel, who clocked in at 24:11 for second; while a trio of seniors followed suit in Patrick Casey (24:30), Andrew Weaver (24:30) and Kevin Williams (24:30) who finished eighth, ninth, and 10th place, respectively.


    Seniors Riley Masters (24:31) and Kyle King (24:32) rounded out the top 20 for the Crimson and Cream, as the duo finished 11th and 14th, respectively.


    A pair of sophomores in Ryan Poland and Daniel Nicolls crossed the line with times of 24:51 and 25:17, respectively. Freshmen Brandon Doughty (25:41) and Dan Shubert (25:46) followed.


    The Sooner men will be back in action Oct. 12, in Madison, Wis., at the Wisconsin Adidas Invitational.
