Ardmore’s Hernandez in MMA Saturday at WinStar

Professional mixed martial artist Jesse Hernandez of Ardmore will put his undefeated record on the line this weekend against Manuel Guillen at the King of the Cage: Stranglehold event at WinStar World Casino in Thackerville on Saturday.

Hernandez, an Ardmore High School alumnus, is 4-0 entering Saturday’s bout, with three wins via technical knockout. His latest victory was a first-round submission of Tracy Willis at the Sugar Creek Showdown Sept. 8 in Hinton, a fight in which Hernandez claimed the Sugar Creek Casino Heavyweight Belt.

The 6-foot-2, 275-pounder will face Guillen (6-1, 265), who is competing in his first professional match.

The heavyweight fight is one of 10 on the card, with the event starting at 8 p.m.
